Samaritan’s Purse Responding to Rohingya Refugee Crisis

More than half a million Rohingya people have fled from Myanmar into neighboring Bangladesh in recent months.

Samaritan’s Purse is sending a disaster assistance response team (DART) to Bangladesh.

Samaritan’s Purse will be working to provide food, tarps, and non-food items to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. We are working with four local hospitals, including Memorial Christian, to provide medical equipment and supplies to those caring for the critically wounded, malnourished, and sick.

“We are very happy for the support of Samaritan’s Purse. The Rohingya people will see the love and compassion of Jesus,” said a local Christian leader in Bangladesh.

Samaritan’s Purse is offering physical relief and an opportunity for Rohingya families to experience God’s love. Please pray for the Rohingya during this time of crisis and suffering.

“These are very vulnerable people who need our help,” said DART member David Bock. “What they need most is hope.”
