Samaritan’s Purse deploys to assist families in South Australia

Update: Samaritan’s Purse Domestic Disaster Relief will be returning to South Australia to continue assisting with the recovery from the Pinery bushfires, commencing Monday 11th January and finishing Saturday 23rd January. We will be based at Salt Church (25 Northside Court, Evanston Gardens SA) for the duration of our stay.

If you are interested in volunteering with Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Relief, please fill out the form here to register your interest. If you are an existing volunteer, please email with your availability.

If you require any additional information, please contact the National Coordinator, David Dawson on 0418 700 388.

Our Forward Assessment Team has deployed to South Australia to assess how best to help in the recovery process in the Pinery fire-affected region.

This is in response to a request from the South Australia State Recovery Office and to the many reports in the press that in excess of 80 homes have been destroyed or seriously damaged.

This fire had a 210 km front and so the properties affected are scattered over a vast geographic area which makes providing assistance more difficult than otherwise would have been the case if the front was more concentrated.

Thank you for your support.
