Disaster Assistance Response Team

What is DART?

The Samaritan’s Purse International Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) program is committed to meeting the critical needs of victims of war, poverty, famine, disease, and natural disaster. We stand ready to respond at a moment’s notice whenever and wherever disaster strikes. The DART specialises in providing medical care, water, food and shelter in the name of Jesus Christ.

Is it for you?

The DART program is composed of on-call professionals trained to respond within a complex international environment.

  • Do you thrive under pressure?
  • Can you work and live in challenging and unstable conditions?
  • Do you have experience working in a developing country?
  • Are you readily available to deploy for two to four weeks?
  • Are you physically able and willing to sacrifice your comforts if necessary?
  • Do you have a heart for sharing the love of Christ with those who are hurting?

What is the application process?

Samaritan’s Purse DART responders are short-term, contracted employees of the organisation, and as such are required to submit an application in order to be considered. To apply, click the link listed below. Samaritan’s Purse staff from Australia and the United States will review all applications and contact qualified applicants for a preliminary interview.

What costs are involved?

As the recruitment process requires you to be on contract prior to the training, all the costs associated with the training such as flights, meals, transport etc will be covered by Samaritan’s Purse and you will be paid a daily rate for the training.
