Deployment to Rappville assisted homeowners affected by the bushfires

Samaritan’s Purse deployed to Rappville in northern NSW. One of our Disaster Relief Unit trailers was on the ground, equipped with chainsaws, tools and fire recovery kits. These kits contain personal protective equipment, a shovel, mattock, large and small crowbar, hammer, rake and sieve and are distributed to homeowners to help find salvageable items and clear properties.

There were 168 structures that have been damaged or destroyed in the region, with 42 homes in Rappville. We partnered with churches and the local council, and helping families remove debris, help with chainsaw work and general property clearing.
