People at Risk

Did you know? 823 million people – that’s about a third of the world’s urban population – live in slum conditions (WHO, 2014).

Samaritan’s Purse provides aid, health care and education for victims of human trafficking, orphans, the disabled, and other vulnerable communities who struggle to survive in hostile living environments and are always at risk of being exploited.

What We Provide

Human Trafficking and Slavery Awareness

Samaritan’s Purse works to restore the lives of men, women, boys and girls who have experienced abandonment, exploitation and/or abuse. Our programs include abuse prevention, safe migration and trafficking awareness, counselling, vocational training and general health, meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of victims and helping them get back on their feet.

Help for Children with Disabilities

In developing countries, children with physical and mental disabilities are often faced with a life deprived of education, employment, dignity, or hope. Samaritan’s Purse seeks to provide a much needed voice that will educate parents and communities about the needs of these children and give them a new start by providing vocational training, physiotherapy equipment and aids such as wheelchairs, walking sticks and hearing aids.

Samaritan’s Purse is there to offer compassion, assistance and protection. Our local partners not only find these innocent victims, but continue to care for them, providing aid, health care, housing, clean water, sanitation and education for the long term.
